Willie devoted 26 years of his life to the Richmond County School System, where he made a significant impact on countless students and colleagues. His commitment to fostering learning inspired many, and his legacy in the field of education will be felt for generations to come.
As a devoted member of Green Grove Baptist Church, Willie found strength and purpose in his faith. His involvement in church activities and community services reflected his caring spirit and unwavering dedication to his beliefs. He was a man who exemplified the virtues of kindness and generosity.
Willie graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School, laying the foundation for a life committed to learning and teaching. His educational pursuits were not just a career; they were a lifelong passion.
He is survived by his loving family, including his sisters Katherine Taylor and Elaine Taylor, and his brother Ned (Thelma) Taylor. He was cherished by his nieces Takesha (Ozzie) Shaw, Ashkea Dunbar, Tawana (Alpheus, Sr.) Mitchell, and Latoris Langston, along with his nephews Darius Riggas, Kenny Williams, and Michael Burke, Jr. Willie shared a deep bond with each of them, and his memory will continue to live on through their lives.
Friends, family, and all who knew Willie are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, starting at 2:30 PM at Green Grove Missionary Baptist, located at 1692 Old Savannah Rd, Augusta, GA. Following the service, Willie will be interred at Walker Memorial Park at 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA, at 3:45 PM.
Willie Albert Taylor will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His life was a testament to dedication, service, and love, and his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
