Willie Richard Lowery passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, at the age of 79 in Decatur, Georgia. Willie was born on March 16, 1944, in Jefferson County, Georgia. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A man of strong character, Willie lived a life that was filled with compassion and kindness. He touched the lives of many people through his selflessness and unwavering support. His legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

The celebration of Willie's life will take place over the course of several events. The Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. This will provide an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together to offer their condolences and share cherished memories.

Following the Visitation, a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023. The service will begin at 11:00 AM at Spring Bethel AME Church located at 10930 Middle Ground Rd, Louisville, GA 30434. It will be a time to honor and remember Willie's life while finding solace in community and faith.

After the Funeral Service concludes, Willie's final resting place will be in the serene grounds of Spring Bethel AME Church Cemetery in Louisville, GA. The Burial ceremony will take place on September 1, 2023, at approximately 12:15 PM.

Willie Richard Lowery leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever.  His warm smile, gentle nature, and wise guidance will remain etched in their hearts.

While Willie has left this earthly realm, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those he touched. He will be remembered as a pillar of strength and love, always willing to lend a helping hand and provide words of encouragement. His memory will continue to inspire acts of kindness and compassion among those that had the privilege of knowing him.
