Wallace Stapleton, a retired public servant and distinguished veteran, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 82, in Augusta, Georgia. Born on June 17, 1942, in Louisville, Georgia, Wallace dedicated his life to his country and community.
He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, embodying the values of dedication, bravery, and honor. Following his military service, he transitioned into a long and commendable career with the United States Government, from which he later retired. Wallace’s contributions to public service were marked by his commitment to excellence and a deep sense of duty to his fellow citizens.
Wallace is remembered for his unwavering integrity, strong work ethic, and the positive impact he made during his lifetime. His legacy will be honored by those who had the privilege of knowing him and benefiting from his service.
Visitation will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, beginning at 11:00 AM. Following the service, interment will take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah, Georgia, starting at 12:15 PM.
Wallace Stapleton’s life was one of dedication and service, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
