Timothy Jerome Jones, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on April 2, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama, Timothy lived a life that was rich in love, laughter, and service. He was widely known for his commitment to family and his career as a certified truck driver, where he forged connections across highways and cities.

Timothy's educational journey began at Jackson Elementary School and culminated in his graduation from West End High School in Birmingham, Alabama. His thirst for knowledge stayed with him throughout his life, as he embraced daily devotions and soaked in the words of wisdom that guided him. An individual who accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, Timothy emerged as a compassionate and caring man, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He had a personality that drew people to him, often cherishing the gift of connection through vibrant conversations and shared experiences. His love for music transcended genres; it filled the room with warmth and joy, resonating with those fortunate enough to share in his company. Timothy was truly a people person, making each interaction meaningful and heartfelt.

Timothy is survived by his cherished son Timothy Harris Jones, Jr., and his daughter Kimothy Jones, who both carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. His love as a grandfather to Timauryen Harris and Kennedi Jones filled him with immeasurable pride and joy, as he cherished every moment spent with them. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Charles V. Jones, Brenda Woods, Sivi Woolridge, and Patricia Levins, who each hold precious memories of their time together.

He leaves behind a special person in Felicia Lewis, along with a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched in different ways. Timothy’s warm spirit and infectious laughter will continue to echo in the hearts of all who loved him.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Jones and Annie Ruth Jones, as well as his brother William Edward Jones. Their memories remain a part of Timothy’s story, bringing comfort and solace to those who knew him.

As family and friends gather to celebrate his remarkable life, they will remember a man whose heart was as vast as the open road he traveled. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. A memorial service honoring his life will take place the following day, Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.

Timothy Jerome Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service, and his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
