Russell McKinnley Turner, a beloved individual who touched the lives of many, passed on June 23, 2024 in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on July 4, 1958, in Mt. Vernon, NY.

Russell led a fulfilling life dedicated to serving others and spreading the word of the Lord. In the early 90s, he embarked on a spiritual journey that led him to become a minister. Under the guidance of Pastor Reynaldo Andino, whom he considered his spiritual brother, Russell was ordained as an Elder in the Lord Church in 2009.

His educational pursuits were equally commendable. Russell graduated from the Public Schools of New York City and later obtained an associate degree in Accounting from Monroe and Everest College.

Known for his generous spirit and infectious laugh, Russell brought joy and comfort to all who knew him. His uplifting personality left a lasting impact on those around him.

Russell McKinnley Turner is survived by his loving family and friends, including his sister Deloris Flowers, brother Curtis (Chaekum) Lewis, sister Patricia (Edwin) Turner Williams, brother Reginald (Cynthia) Turner, and his son Elder Micheal McMillon, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Russell's honor on July 6, 2024, at Paradise Baptist Church in New York City. The service will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Russell will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace as his legacy continues to shine brightly through those he has inspired and touched with his life's work.
