Nathanial, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and, passed away on July 15, 2024 He was born on January 31, 1987, in Augusta, Georgia. Nathanial's journey led him to various achievements and touched the lives of many in his community.
Nathanial's dedication to his craft was evident as he pursued an education that laid the foundation for his career. He attended N. Augusta High School before graduating from Christian King Academy in 2006. His passion for electrician work led him to Augusta State and eventually found him working at Bridgestone, Generac, and Savannah Mission Completion.
Aside from his professional accomplishments, Nathanial's proudest moments stemmed from his time as an outstanding football player in High School. His talent on the field earned him numerous scholarship offers and showcased his commitment to excellence.
Baptized at Seed of Hope, Nathanial was raised in a Christian home and maintained a steadfast faith throughout his life. His belief in Christ guided his actions and interactions with others, leaving a lasting impression on those around him.
Nathanial will be deeply missed by his surviving family members and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Karmilla, their children Nathanial, Jeffery, Tae'Shaun, Legend, Timothy, Jayden Pratt (stepson), Isaiah Pratt (stepson), Jasmin Pratt (stepdaughter), McKayla Pratt (stepdaughter), as well as his mother Pamela Saunders, father Jeffery Saunders, sisters Mashocka Hughes, Jasmine Reid, Nastassia Martin, brother Montel (Chanel) Hughes and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his immediate family members, Nathanial is also survived by his mother-in-law Marlene Martin and brother-in-law Brandon (Brittany) Wright.
Services to honor Nathanial's life will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta GA 30901. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 26th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow on Saturday, July 27th starting at 4:30 PM. The burial will be held at Walker Memorial Park also on July 27th from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM.
Nathanial Hughes leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
