Michael Major

Michael Major, born on July 20, 1958, in Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, in his hometown. A dedicated professional, Michael retired from Owens Corning after many years of service, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.

Michael was a proud graduate of T.W. Josey, where he laid the educational foundation that would support his future endeavors. His contributions to both his profession and community were characterized by his unwavering dedication and passion.

He is survived by his beloved siblings, Elaine (Jerome) Sabb, Linda Moore, and Kelvin (Yvette) Major, who will remember him fondly and cherish the time they spent together. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Major, Jr. and Lorraine Major, who undoubtedly shaped his values and character throughout his life.

Visitation services will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the same location, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM.

Michael Major's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit and contributions will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
