Beyond his service to the, Michael was a scholar who graduated from Glenn Hills High School in Augusta, Georgia. His thirst for knowledge and perseverance set him apart as a beacon of inspiration for those around him.

A devoted father and husband, Michael's essence radiated kindness, strength, and wisdom to all fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His impact not only within his immediate family but within the community resonates as a testament to the remarkable person that he was.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Terri Blount, daughters Asia and Mittie Blount, sons Javante and Cheyenne Blount, father Jake Blount, mother, Barbara Wheeler, siblings Tiese Wheeler, Kishma Blount, Nedra Blount, Keith Blount, and Myron Blount.

A visitation will be held to honor Michael's memory on Saturday, July 27, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow at 2:30 PM on the same day at the same location.
