Her journey, which spanned over seventy-six remarkable years, was marked by a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that touched the lives of all who had the fortune to know her.

Mary embraced her role as a devoted member of the community after a long and fulfilling career, opting to retire into the warmth of her cherished memories. The laughter of friends and family echoed around her like a comforting blanket, and her home became a sanctuary filled with love and kindness. As we gather to commemorate the beautiful life she lived, we invite all who wish to honor her memory to attend her visitation on Friday, September 20, 2024, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. It will be an opportunity to reflect on the countless ways Mary enriched our lives—her infectious laughter, her cherished stories, and the unwavering support she provided to those in need.

A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, September 21, 2024, at Moses Missionary Baptist Church starting at 2:30 PM. This gathering will resonate with reminiscence, as family and friends share their treasured memories, and the love that enveloped Mary is illuminated once more. Her spirit, so intertwined with the hearts of others, will remind us all of what it means to truly love and to be loved in return.

Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 4:00 PM, where family and friends can partake in a final farewell, celebrating not only her life but also the legacy of love and unity she leaves behind.
