Marjorie Bates, a beloved soul cherished by many, peacefully departed from this world on July 12, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia, the very place where her journey began on August6, 1950. Her life was a tapestry of love, kindness, and grace that touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Marorie's enduring spirit will forever be remembered by her surviving family and friends, including her daughters Lillie Williams and Roberstine Williams. They will hold dear to their hearts the precious memories and lessons learned from Marjorie's unwavering strength and boundless love.

She graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School, leaving a mark of excellence in all she pursued. Marjorie's dedication to lifelong learning and growth inspired those around her and left a lasting impact on the community she was a part of.

A visitation in honor of Marjorie Bates will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. The Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at Transforming Lives Bible Church on Saturday, July 20th at 2:30 PM. Following this, she will be laid to rest at Walker Memorial Park at 3:45 PM.

As we mourn the loss of Marjorie Bates, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared with all. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts as we carry forward the light she brought into our lives.
