Makai Cameron Mormant

Makai Mormant, born on February 27, 2023, in Augusta, Georgia, left this world July 4, 2024, in the same city. He is mourned a loving family and a circle of friends whose lives he touched profoundly.

A visitation in memory of Makai will be held at the C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. Following the visitation, a 'Celebration of Life' event will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Makai Mormant's presence brought joy and laughter to those around him. His kindness and compassion were felt by all who knew him. Despite his young age at the time of passing, his impact was significant and lasting.

He is survived by his mother, Courtney Mormant, grandmother, Bridgett Mormant, grandfather, Robert Ward, great-grandmothers, Joanne Mormant and Elizabeth Reese, aunts, Brittany Mormant, Diamond Gaines, and Razeen Labord, uncles, Joshua Mormant and Jamal Mormant, great-aunt Natasha Michael) Freeman, and godmother Santana Lewis.

In honoring Makai Mormant's memory, let us remember his vibrant spirit and the warmth he shared with everyone around him. May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
