Born on March 1, 1944, in Augusta, Georgia, Lucile filled every room she entered with warmth and kindness—a true reflection of her deep roots in this vibrant city.
She attended Lucy C. Laney High School, where her spirit and determination first began to bloom. Lucile’s early education would lay the groundwork for a life rich in experiences and connections, a life that many would come to admire.
As we remember Lucile, we celebrate the bonds she formed with her loving family. She is survived by her dear siblings—Marilyn Ferguson, William Dunbar, Mattie Dixon, and Oneal Davis. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their shared memories will forever be a source of comfort during this time of great loss.

Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia.
