Lillie Ruth Dunbar

Lillie Ruth Dunbar, a devoted mother and beloved member of the Augusta community, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 22, 1950, in Augusta, Georgia, Lillie's life was a testament to dedication, love, and service.

Lillie devoted much of her career to the National Linen Company, where her industrious spirit and commitment to excellence earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Even after her retirement, she remained a figure of kindness and generosity within her neighborhood, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a warm smile.

Her legacy is carried on by her cherished children, James (Chrystyan McGriff) McGriff and Stacy (Antonio Williams) McGriff. Lillie held a special place in their hearts, nurturing them with love, wisdom, and unwavering support throughout their lives. The memories of family gatherings, shared laughter, and comforting advice will forever resonate in their hearts.

A visitation to celebrate Lillie's life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext, Augusta, GA. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and share stories that highlight the impact she had on all who knew her.

A funeral service will follow on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, where we will honor her life and legacy. Following the service, Lillie will be laid to rest at Walker Memorial Park, with interment taking place at 12:15 PM.
