Lawanda S. Bogan, a beloved member of the Augusta community, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on April 19, 1965, in Augusta, Georgia, Lawanda was a bright light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Lawanda dedicated herself to her work as a cashier at Circle K, where she greeted each customer with warmth and kindness. Her genuine smile and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on her coworkers and patrons alike. Lawanda’s commitment to service was not only evident in her job but also in the way she interacted with everyone around her. She had an uncanny ability to make others feel heard and appreciated, a quality that will be deeply missed by many.

Her life, while not long by many standards, was filled with joy and love. Lawanda cherished her home of Augusta, a town that carried her through years of experiences, laughter, and bonds with family and friends. She was known for her warmth and an infectious spirit that could light up a room.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Lawanda's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext. in Augusta, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather starting at 1:00 PM, with the service commencing at 2:00 PM. It will be a time for everyone who loved Lawanda to share memories, reflect on her wonderful spirit, and say goodbye to a truly remarkable woman.
