LaShonda Wilkerson, a beloved certified medical assistant at Piedmont Hospital, has peacefully passed away in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on June 14, 1978, the same city where she eventually dedicated her life to serving others.

Throughout her career, LaShonda touched the lives of many patients with her compassionate care and unwavering dedication to her work. Her colleagues remember her as a beacon of light in the hospital, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of comfort to those in need.

LaShonda's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of who knew her. She is survived by her loving family and friends who will miss dearly. During this time of mourning, let us come together to celebrate the remarkable life of LaShonda Wilkerson.

Services to honor and remember LaShonda will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. The visitation will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM and ending at 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

LaShonda will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The burial service will commence at 5:30 PM as we say our final goodbyes to a dear soul who brought warmth and kindness to all she encountered.
