Laquan Carlos Wright

Laquan Carlos Wright, affectionately known to all as "Chip," was born on May 5, 1976, in Augusta, Georgia. He left this world on March 16, 2025, in Belvedere, South Carolina, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

Chip’s life was characterized by his commitment to his work at Walmart, where he embraced the opportunity to serve others through his daily interactions. His infectious smile and friendly demeanor made him a cherished presence among both colleagues and customers alike. As he navigated life, Chip brought joy to those around him, forging bonds that transcended mere acquaintanceship.

Family was paramount in Chip's life. He will be remembered fondly by his devoted mother, Julia Wright, and his father, Henry Elam. Their love for him was a constant in his life, and he carried their influence in every step he took, cherishing the values they instilled in him.

Chip's journey touched many hearts, and as such, family and friends are invited to celebrate his life during the services held in his honor. A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, Georgia. Following this, a funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 28, 2025, starting at 2:30 PM at Old Macedonia Baptist Church, 200 Macedonia Rd, North Augusta, South Carolina. Immediately after, Chip will be laid to rest, with interment taking place at the same location at 3:45 PM.

Though Chip's time on this earth was far too brief, he leaves behind an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories held dear by his family and friends.
