John Smith, Jr.

John Smith, Jr., a Certified Auto Mechanic known his exceptional skills and dedication, has passed away at the age of 84 in Augusta, Georgia. Born in Girard, Georgia, on July 15, 1939, John was a proud alumnus of the Barnwell County School System. Throughout his life, John found joy and fulfillment in various hobbies and interests. He had a passion for his family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them. His love extended to his community as well as he devoted time to his church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. John also enjoyed the thrill of riding his motorcycle, watching wrestling matches, fishing on peaceful waters, and grilling delicious meals for his loved ones.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy B. Smith and his daughter Lucinda M. Smith. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Services to honor and celebrate John's life will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home Augusta for visitation on Thursday, February 29, 2024, starting 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day at St. Paul Baptist Church in Girard on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM followed by burial at the same location.
