Born on July 29, 1945, in Denison, Texas, Joe's life was marked by a profound commitment to service. He proudly retired from the United States Army and the Savannah River Site, where he demonstrated exemplary dedication and loyalty.
During his military career, Joe participated in the Vietnam War, displaying courage and selflessness in defense of his nation. His bravery and unwavering patriotism will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
A visitation to pay respects to Joe will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. Following this, a Celebration of Life ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. The burial service will be held at Second Hopeful Baptist Church in Blythe on the same day at 12:30 PM.
Joe is survived by his loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
