It is with utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmie Ernest Barnes, Jr. on December 10, 2023, in Hephzibah, GA. Jimmie, born on July 18, 1965, in Stuttgart, Germany, was a beloved husband and a self-employed truck driver.

Jimmie lived a life filled with dedication and hard work. As a truck driver, he traveled the roads tirelessly, making the transportation of goods his mission. His commitment to his career was admirable, and he took great pride in his ability to provide for his loved ones.

During this difficult time of mourning and remembrance, family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation event. It will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, starting at 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901.

A Funeral Service will follow on Monday, December 18, 2023, commencing at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Crown Kingdom Cultural Center situated at 720 Edgefield Rd, North Augusta, SC 29841. This solemn gathering will be an opportunity for all who knew Jimmie to cherish his memory and find solace together.

The final farewell will take place at Mt.Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah, GA on December 18, 2023. The Burial ceremony will commence at precisely 1:30 PM until 1:45 PM. Surrounded by nature's embrace at Deans Bridge Rd., Jimmie's soul shall find eternal rest.

Jimmie will be remembered as a devoted husband and a dependable friend. His kind heart touched the lives of many people around him who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his surviving family and friends, especially his wife Sherra Barnes, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
