It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Henrietta Phinizy, a beloved soul who left us on February 19, 2025, in Evans, Georgia. Born on August 3, 1936, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Henrietta was a beacon of love and light throughout her life, embodying warmth and cheerfulness that touched everyone she encountered.
Henrietta dedicated herself to a noble career as a nurse, retiring from the Veterans Administration where her compassion for others shone brightly. Educated in Aiken County, she carried the values of kindness and service into her personal and professional life. Henrietta was not just a dedicated nurse; she was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her loving spirit and unwavering commitment to her family were evident in the countless hours she would spend on the phone, nurturing those cherished connections with friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her adoring daughter, Evelyn Ronald Medford, her loving sister, Burnell Cotton, and her numerous grandchildren, including Tony, Jameel, Ronald, and Megan, as well as her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Christian, Ronald, Jr., Marquise, Caron, Deondra, Jessika, and Jada. Henrietta also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews: Brenda, Amanda, Tara, Monique, Victor, and Lance, along with her dear cousins Raedine, Cleveland Larke, and Emma Glover.
Henrietta is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband Dan Phinizy, as well as her parents, Louis Paige, Sr. and Irene Lark Paige, and her brother, Louis Paige, Jr. They welcomed her with open arms, a testament to the strong family bond and love that transcends beyond life.
