Helen A. Evans, a cherished mother and a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, at the age of 87. Born on August 10, 1937, in McCormick, South Carolina, Helen lived a life of warmth, kindness, and dedication.

Helen's professional journey led her to a fulfilling career at Gracewood, where she retired after many years of devoted service. Her colleagues remember her as a shining light within the workplace, known for her compassion and unwavering commitment to those she worked alongside.

Helen is survived by her beloved daughters, Sandra Evans and Sylvia Evans, who were lovingly cradled in the warmth of their mother’s embrace throughout their lives. She taught them the values of strength, resilience, and love that will continue to guide them in their everyday lives. Helen's legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with her family and the many lives she touched during her time on this earth.

Visitation services to honor Helen’s life will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, Georgia. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at Everfaithful Missionary Baptist Church, located at 314 Sand Bar Ferry Rd, Augusta, Georgia. Following the funeral service, family and friends are invited to participate in the interment at 12:30 PM at the same church, where Helen will rest peacefully, surrounded by love.
