It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Golphin Page, Sr., who departed this earthly existence on January 21, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. Golphin was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Golphin was born on May 18, 1926, in Kathwood, South Carolina. He came from humble beginnings and grew up with a strong sense of determination and resilience. From an early age, it was evident that Golphin possessed a remarkable spirit that would guide him throughout his life's journey. During World War II, Golphin joined The United States Army and served his country with honor and commitment. His bravery and dedication to duty were evident during his service, and he made lasting friendships with his fellow soldiers. Golphin's military service played a pivotal role in shaping him into the brave and compassionate person he became.

After his time in the military, Golphin embarked on a new chapter in his life. He found love and companionship when he met the love of his life. Their love story spanned decades filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Golphin and Louise were blessed with a beautiful family that brought them immeasurable happiness. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Golphin was an active member of his community. His kind and gentle nature drew people towards him, and he had a unique ability to make those around him feel valued and appreciated. Golphin was known for his generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and compassion.

Golphin will be remembered as a loving father who took great pride in nurturing and guiding his children. He instilled in them the values of hard work, respect, and perseverance. He was always there for them through thick and thin, providing words of wisdom whenever needed. Golphin's dedication to his family will forever be cherished.

A visitation to honor and remember Golphin Page, Sr. will be held at the C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901, on Friday, January 26, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. This will be an opportunity for friends and loved ones to gather together and share their memories of Golphin.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Good Hope Baptist Church located at 710 E Cedar St, Augusta, GA 30901. The service will begin at 3:00 PM. During this time, we will celebrate Golphin's life and the lasting impact he had on each one of us. Following the funeral service, Golphin will be laid to rest at the Walker Memorial Park located at 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901. The burial ceremony will commence at 4:15 PM on January 27, 2024. It is here that we will bid farewell to our beloved Golphin as he finds eternal peace.

Golphin Page, Sr. lived a life filled with love, joy, and purpose. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
