It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Gina Yvonne Huff of Conyers, Georgia, who took her heavenly departure on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 12:43 PM in Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 56, Gina was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of unwavering love, compassion, and strength will forever be etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.


Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Gina was the beloved daughter of Angela Y. Huff and the late Leonard M. Huff, Sr. She attended Glenn Hills High School, in Augusta, where she graduated with the Illustrious Class of 1986 and proudly performed as a dedicated member of The Fantastic Marching Blue (FMB). Her passion for learning led her to Augusta Technical College, where she honed her skills and built the foundation for a distinguished career in management.

Gina’s professional journey included over a decade of dedicated service at The Augusta Chronicle, where she was awarded for her leadership, diligence and commitment to community engagement. Her leadership continued to shine for an additional 10+ years in Restaurant Hospitality Management roles in Georgia, South Carolina and Texas, leaving an indelible mark through her dedication and professionalism.


Gina was a beacon of light to her family and friends. She embraced life with kindness, integrity, and a love for those around her. Preceded in death by her father, Leonard Huff Sr., Gina leaves behind a devoted family to cherish her memory: Mother: Angela Y. Huff; Brother and Sisters: Leonard Huff Jr. (Sandy Springs, GA), Stephanie Huff (Conyers, GA), and Deltrye Huff (Augusta, GA); Daughters: Keisha Turner and Ikea Turner; Grandchildren: Kamaya Turner, Karter Watson, Jayden Simpson, Karishma Simpson, and Dominic Woods; Aunts and Uncles: LaDonna G. Bates (Augusta, GA), DeBorah (Kurt) Schliesinger, Ralph W. (Sheri) Gordon Jr., Anthony R. Gordon, the late Brenda Gordon (Howard) Richner, Ernestine Baggett (Chicago, IL), Sherman Huff, Bennie Clayburne (Aberdeen, MD), Lucy Farmer (Aberdeen, MD); Loving Nieces and Nephews: Brandon (Kiara) Huff, Tremaine (Shanice) Huff, Chynna (Zack) Ojanpera-Lynch, Victoria, Celeste, Jackson, Joi, Jazmine, and Jared Huff; Great-Nieces and Nephews: Ja'Niyah, Ryiot, Aiden, Elyjah Huff, Daphnee Ojanpera-Lynch and a host of other cherished family and close friends. Ms. Huff's cousins, Sharon Wilson, Tanyea Floyd (GA) and Celestine Huff (MD) will serve as Honorary Flower bearers.

The family will receive guests 10:30 AM prior to services in Ms. Huff’s memory, honoring her generous and caring spirit.
