Geraldine Carlton

Geraldine Carlton, a cherished member of her family and community, was born on March 13, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama. She departed from this world on December 5, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and treasured memories.

Geraldine was known for her warm heart and kind spirit, always extending a helping hand to those around her. Throughout her life, she brought joy and laughter to family gatherings and forged bonds that will be forever remembered. Her presence illuminated the lives of many, and her love knew no bounds.

She is survived by her devoted siblings: her brothers, George Pope Jr. and Jeffery Pope, and her sisters, Hilda Boyd and Betty Bule. Each of these family members holds a special place in their hearts for Geraldine, and they will carry forward the memories of her gentle smile and unwavering support.

Friends and family will gather to honor Geraldine's life during a visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. The funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, December 13, 2024, at True Vine Missionary Baptist, starting at 2:30 PM. Geraldine will find her final resting place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah, following the interment at 3:45 PM.
