Gerald Anthony Brown, Sr.

Gerald Anthony Brown, Sr., a devoted family man and dedicated professional, passed away on July 11, 202, in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on November 4, 1954, in Augusta, he was a proud alumnus of Lucy C. Laney High School.

Throughout his life, Gerald wore many hats with grace and dignity. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and bravely participated in the Korean War. After his military service, Gerald embarked on a fulfilling career with Mariott as a bellman and driver before retiring.

Not only was Gerald successful in his professional endeavors, but he also excelled in his personal life. A loving father and cherished friend, Gerald leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Gerald Anthony Brown, Sr. is survived by his daughters Talonda Brown, Lisa Cummings, Trenessa Smith, Toni Tindall-Brown, April Tindall-Brown, Jasmine Brown; and his son Gerald Brown II. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

The services to honor and celebrate Gerald's life will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home for visitation on Thurday, July 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at Bethel AME Church on Friday, July 19, 2024, starting at 2:30 PM.
