George Nipper, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and cherished friend passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. Born on June 6, 1950, in Edgefield, South Carolina, George lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep love for his family.
George had a fulfilling career, retiring from the railroad, where he was respected not only for his skills and diligence but also for the friendships he cultivated along the way. He brought strength and steadfastness to all that he did, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and loyalty that will long be remembered.
He is survived by his two, loving children, Brenna (Lonnie Lee, Jr) Nipper Lee and Stephenie Nipper Berry, and was preceded in death by his son, George Nipper III. Each of them carries a part of their father's spirit with them, a testament to the unconditional love and values he instilled throughout their lives. George was a devoted father, always present with a listening ear and wise words, ensuring his children knew they were supported and cherished.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate George's life at the C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for visitation. The funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, November 14, at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, starting at 2:30 PM, with interment to follow at Walker Memorial Park at 3:45 PM.
