Eddie James Berrian, a beloved member of the Augusta community, passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 87. He was born on September 1, 1936, in Keysville, Georgia. Eddie will always be remembered for his valuable contributions to the Richmond County Parks and Recreation Department, where he dedicated many years of his life.

Eddie's career with the Richmond County Parks and Recreation Department was nothing short of remarkable. He tirelessly worked to create safe and inviting spaces for the community His commitment to providing recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds made him a well-respected figure among his colleagues and community members alike. Even after retiring, he continued to show unwavering support for the department's initiatives.

A man of kindness and compassion, Eddie touched numerous lives throughout his lifetime. He always had an open ear and a warm heart for those around him. Whether it was offering words of encouragement or lending a helping hand, Eddie made sure to uplift those in need.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation service held in honor of Eddie at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Augusta (314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901). This will be an opportunity for everyone to share their fond memories and pay their respects to a remarkable individual who touched so many lives.

A funeral service celebrating Eddie's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Jordan Grove Baptist Church (1529 Railroad St., Augusta, GA 30901). The service is expected to begin at 2:30 PM and conclude at approximately 3:30 PM. During this time, loved ones will reflect on Eddie's meaningful life and bid their final farewell.

Following the funeral service, Eddie will be laid to rest at Walker Memorial Park (620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901). The burial will take place at 3:45 PM, allowing family and friends a peaceful opportunity to say their last goodbyes.
