Doris Prather

Doris Prather, a cherished mother and beloved member of the Augusta community, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on September 4, 1960, in Augusta, Georgia, Doris spent her life nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. As a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into her family, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of her children.

Doris is survived by her four wonderful children, Tiffany Walker, Ieisha Walker, Trapper Prather, and Ivey Prather, each of whom carries forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. Her presence will be irreplaceably missed, yet her spirit will continue to thrive through the lives she touched.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Doris's life with a visitation taking place on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:30 PM, also at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home. Doris will then be laid to rest at Walker Memorial Park, where interment will take place at 3:45 PM.

Doris Prather will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her ability to bring people together. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
