Diana Jackson, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, departed this world on February 1, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, at the age of 70. Born on November 26, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, Diana lived a life dedicated to care and compassion as a retired Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She poured her heart into her work, touching the lives of those she cared for with her kindness and unwavering support.

Diana was the heart of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and connection. She is survived by her cherished son, Renard Jackson, as well as numerous cousins who were an integral part of her life: Anjanette Wheeler, Kathy Jordan, Mattie Goodwin, and Fannie Coatney. Her deep bond with her family continued through her niece, Tocara Cummings, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Diana was one of thirteen siblings, and throughout her life, she nurtured close ties with her brothers and sisters: Phyllis Thomas, Lawrence "Harry" Manuel, Cornelius Brown, Gloria Cherry-El, Bernard Smith, Pauline Cheatham, Phyllis Thomas, Micheal Thomas, John Thomas, Patricia Atkins, Deborah Atkins, Bryan Atkins, Jeanise Atkins, and Jeanette Atkins. Each sibling carried pieces of her spirit, forever grateful for the memories created together.

Though Diana's journey in this life has come to an end, she is reunited in peace with her cherished loved ones who preceded her. She joins her dear brothers Paul Cheatham, Mark Thomas, and Joseph Thomas, and her sisters Betty Atkins, Ernestine Atkins, Christine Atkins, and Pamela Atkins, all of whom await her in eternity.

A memorial service to honor Diana's life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. Friends and family will gather to share stories, celebrate her spirit, and pay tribute to a life well-lived.
