Dennis V. Mack, a dedicated soldier and beloved family man, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 77 in Augusta, Georgia. Born on February 17, 1948, in Savannah, Georgia, Dennis lived a life of service and commitment, both to his country and his family.
Retiring from the United States Army, Dennis proudly participated in the Vietnam War. His unwavering courage and sense of duty left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of serving alongside him and those who knew him as a husband, father, and friend. Dennis exemplified what it meant to be a patriot, always holding his head high and carrying a profound respect for the sacrifices made for freedom.
Dennis is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Debra Mack, whose love and partnership brought light into his life. He leaves behind his cherished children: daughters Christina King, Denise Lamb, and Devona Penn, and sons Dennis Mack II, and Fred King. Each of his children carries a piece of his legacy, reflecting the values of strength, integrity, and kindness that he instilled in them.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather at 2:30 PM to honor Dennis’ remarkable journey and to celebrate the love he shared with all who knew him.
