David Jermaine Harden

David Jermaine Harden, affectionately known as Yo-Yo, passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 50, in his hometown of Augusta, GA. He was born on January 25, 1973.

Yo-Yo dedicated twenty years of his life working as a chef at California Dreaming, where he brought joy to countless diners with his culinary skills. His passion for cooking was evident in the delicious meals he prepared day after day. Yo-Yo's commitment and expertise in the kitchen earned him the respect and admiration of both colleagues and patrons alike.

Born and raised in Augusta, Yo-Yo always had a special connection to his hometown. He appreciated the community spirit and cherished the close-knit bonds that were formed throughout his life there. Despite his accomplishments as a chef, Yo-Yo remained humble and never forgot his roots.

In addition to his contribution to the culinary world, Yo-Yo will be remembered for his warm heart and infectious laughter. His charismatic personality lit up any room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Yo-Yo's zest for life was contagious, and he made lasting friendships wherever he went.

Yo-Yo's passing leaves behind a void that cannot be filled. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family members and friends. Bessie Harden, his mother, mourns loss of her beloved son and cherishes the memories they shared together.

To honor and pay to Yo-Yo's life, visitation services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, starting at 2:30 PM at the same location. Friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to gather together to celebrate Yo-Yo's life and support each other during this difficult time.

Following the funeral service, a procession will lead to Cedar Grove Cemetery located at 120 Watkins St, Augusta, GA. The burial will take place at 3:45 PM, offering an opportunity for loved ones to bid their final farewells as Yo-Yo is laid to rest.
