~ SYLVIA JOHNSON WALKER OBITUARY ~ Funeral Services for Mrs. Sylvia Walker will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:30 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Gibson Chapel with Pastor Kathy Bean officiating. Vistation will be Friday, August 16, 2019 from 2 - 7 PM at C.A Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Sylvia Johnson Walker was born on August 5, 1955 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie Johnson and Alberta Fryer Harris.  On June 09, 1973 she was joined in matrimony to Mr. James A. Walker.  To this union, five children were born. She was a member of Central African Baptist Church for 44 years where she served as a choir member and President of the Mother’s Board. After her health declined, she became the Advisor of the Mother’s Board.   She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James A. Walker; one sister, Valarie Johnson;  one brother,  Romeo Johnson;  five children: Derrick Walker; James B. (Candace) Walker;  De’Alsylvonn (Thurston) Williams, Ay’Kayla Walker and Xavious Walker; ten grandchildren: Jami Curtis, JerQuan Dunn, De’Asia Payne, Thurston J. Williams, Jayden Williams, Jayla Williams, Cadence Walker, Josiah Williams, Jakyla Harris, and Chancellor Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
