Brenda Veronica Hoggard, a beloved mother and cherished matriarch, gracefully departed this world on April 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on November 24, 1955, in Waynesboro, Georgia, Brenda's journey was one filled with love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Brenda enjoyed a fulfilling career before she decided to embrace her well-deserved retirement. She was known not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her delightful spirit and warmth that touched everyone she met. She graduated from Burke County High School, and her thirst for knowledge and growth never seemed to fade.
Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the laughter of her children. Brenda was the proud mother of five wonderful children: Azure Evans, Chester Johnson II, Allan Hoggard, Taylor Hoggard, and Katai Hoggard. Each one was a cherished part of her life, and she dedicated herself to nurturing their dreams and guiding them with her wisdom. There was nothing that Brenda loved more than family gatherings, where moments of joy were shared, stories were told, and memories were made.
As we celebrate Brenda's life, we invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her memory. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext. in Augusta, Georgia. Friends and family are encouraged to reminisce and pay their respects. On Saturday, April 19, 2025, a Celebration of Life will take place at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM at 405 Sand Bar Ferry Rd in Augusta. This celebration will be a heartfelt remembrance of Brenda's life, reflecting the impact she made on everyone around her.
