Betty Jean Littles, a cherished soul, was born on June 13, 1945, in Lincoln County, Georgia, and departed this world on November 9, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. With a heart full of love and compassion, Betty dedicated her life to her family and her work, leaving a legacy that will echo through the hearts of all who knew her.
For thirty-two years, Betty served as a seamstress for Trooper, a job that not only showcased her remarkable skill but also her dedication and perseverance. Following her stint with Trooper, she spent eleven fulfilling years working for The Richmond County Board of Education in the Food and Nutrition Program. Here, her nurturing nature was evident, as she prepared meals that nourished and brought joy to countless children, further proving her commitment to the community.
Family was at the center of Betty's universe. She cherished every moment spent with loved ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Betty had a passion for taking trips, embarking on adventures that turned into stories shared around the dinner table. She loved cooking, always ready to whip up a feast that reflected her warmhearted spirit. Through it all, her faith remained a guiding light in her life, as she found solace and strength in reading the Bible.
Betty leaves behind a loving sister, Georgia Ann Carter; a caring brother, Robert Elam; and a devoted goddaughter, Hydeia Murray. Her family grieves the loss but also celebrates the joy she brought into their lives. They find comfort in the knowledge that Betty is now reunited with her beloved husband, Cornelius Littles, and her brothers, George Elam, and those who have gone before her, including her sisters Geneva Mathis and Ethel Sampson.
A visitation to honor Betty will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, GA.
