Barbara Burke, a cherished individual, quietly departed this life on December 8, 2024, in Warrenton, Georgia. Born on September 5, 1960, in Augusta, Georgia, Barbara dedicated her life to serving others as a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, a role she fulfilled with unwavering compassion and grace.

Her journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to her profession, where she nurtured countless individuals in their times of need. Barbara's gentle spirit and nurturing nature left a lasting impression on the hearts of those she encountered, significantly impacting the lives she touched.

Barbara is survived by her beloved daughter, Sade Kemp, and devoted son, Fredrick Ford, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Christine Heath, Frank White, and Elmer Anthony, who shared in the joys and trials of life with her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, John Anthony, and her mother, Willie Mae Anthony, both of whom she held dear and whose spirits accompanied her throughout her life’s journey.

A visitation in honor of Barbara Burke will take place on Monday,,,, December 16, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, commencing at 2:30 PM, also at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, followed by her interment at Walker Memorial Park at 3:45 PM.
